PRACTICE DAY ONLY Cancellations Due To Weather
Unless the weather is severe (lightning, heavy rain) or the field conditions are too poor (standing water) and the field is closed, we do play in light rain. Lightning or heavy rain will result in cancellation.
Lightning in the area (within 10 miles) will result in cancellation. We recommend the weather bug cell phone app. It has a feature called SPARK that tracks lightning.
GAME DAY RAIN OUT OR CANCELLATION PROCESS :
Unless the weather is severe or the field conditions are too poor (standing water) and the field is closed, we do play in light to moderate rain. Heavy rain and lightning will result in delay or cancellation.
Lightning in the area (within 10 miles) will result in a 1/2 hour delay (after last observed strike). In order to keep the schedule as true as possible for teams and games that follow, lightning delays will always consume current game time versus push games out.
When in doubt, assume we WILL PLAY. But here are the steps we will follow on gamedays, and the link to GAME DAY status through the Neighborhood Sports website.
Rather than forecast closures or delays, we will make a No/Go or Partial/Go Game Schedule decision early on game day.
Check the Neighborhood Sports website at the link below for Game Day field status starting at 7:30 AM Saturday.
Make sure it says "As of (current week game date)" in the listing.
Three options for fields on wet weather Saturdays:
1) Open - Would mean games are ON.
2) Closed - Would mean games canceled.
3) Partially Opened - Means game by game status
